Queen Elizabeth has come of age publicly when she was made queen at just 27 years of age. In April the emperor celebrated his 95th birthday – and allowed royal fans to have a look behind the crown.

Queen Elizabeth aged 94, she romanced with her parents and her younger sister Princess Margaret garden 71 in the garden of the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Suddenly his father, King George VI. (Then known as Prince Albert, Duke of York), as 56, as if he were cutting Elizabeth’s short hair. The little girl runs away running.

The happy moments before Carefree, Elizabeth’s uncle, King Edward VIII, rel 77, abdicated the throne in December 1936 and his father suddenly had to take office.

“The Little House”: a retreat for royal children

88-year-old Lady Glenconer says, “They greatly appreciate it. The most luxurious gift is the bride who holds a close relationship with the family at the coronation of the queen as bride and maid of honor to Princess Margaret.” Since then the small house has been called “Wai Bawthin Bach” or “The Little House” and has served as a drama troupe for royal children for nearly nine decades.

Romantic car ride through canada

1951: Elizabeth and Prince Philip, 99, enjoy a romantic horse-drawn ride in Canada. The newly-married couple were caught on camera in a good mood, looking at the spectacular snowy landscape of Canada. What the then 25-year-old Princess Elizabeth did not know: Only a few months later she lost her beloved father, King George VI. The emperor died in February 1952.

Prince Philip falls headlong into a pool

The Royal Family spends Christmas in New Zealand due to the Commonwealth Tour in 1953, as these video recordings prove. Prince Philip enjoys summer temperatures in New Zealand Governor General Sir Wilgobi Nori’s pool, where he and Queen Elizabeth are guests, and drags his daughter, ten-year-old Sarah Stephenson, through the pool on her air mattress. Meanwhile, his wife Elizabeth is capturing a few moments with her cine camera as memories.

Four years later: Queen Elizabeth takes a break for her children, together with her older son, 74-year-old Prince Charles, her daughter Princess Anne, 70, and her sister, Princess Margaret, spending a relaxing time at the Scottish beach in 1957. The tour group wears bright-colored sweaters and bright-colored hats, and they are equipped for a windy day at the seashore. Together they build sandcastles, grills, and even go for a swim in ice cold water.

These and many previously unseen recordings will be shown in the new ITV documentary “The Queen Unseen”, which will be broadcast on the UK channel on Thursday 9 April 2021 at 9:00 pm on TV channel ITV1.
