Schwarzenbeck. Karl Wilhelm Klaasen GmbH is recalling a batch of pistachios sold in Kaufland. The product “classic pistachios unshelled, roasted, unsalted, 100 g” is affected by the date of April 22, 2023 and batch number 21029/220726001, as the company based in Schleswig-Holstein announced on Friday.

During routine check-ups, increased levels of the mold toxin ochratoxin A were found, it said. With prolonged consumption, health risks cannot be ruled out, which is why the company advises against consumption. The product has already been taken off the shelves in Kaufland. Customers who had purchased the product could also return it without a receipt.
Aldi Pistachio Nut Also Recalled
The company in Schleswig-Holstein has also recalled Trader Joe’s and Farmer pistachio nuts that were sold at Aldi due to an increase in mold contamination.
