Excitement on Sat.1 Dan Parv for flood victims – Fake donors harassed the audience
ARD raised 16.5 million euros in its charity gala for the victims of the flood disaster on Friday, followed by another charity campaign on Saturday evening. “Germany Helps. Sat.1 Dan Feast” garnered an impressive 31.15 million euros at the end of the evening. But one charity, or rather, an alleged donor, caused a stir.
Sat.1 through the festival, on which countless celebrities How Oliver and Amira Pocher, Sarah and Dominic Harrison or “GNTM” winner Alex Maria Peter Dan sat on the phone was led by breakfast television host Daniel Boschman. For many he was the man of the evening as he showed himself to be a vulnerable and kind side.
Daniel Boschman inspires the audience
Many viewers praised him Twitter As the “perfect moderator” who isn’t afraid to cry in public.
In the social network, the broadcaster kept viewers up to date with the latest donations under the hashtags “#Deutschlandhilft” and “#Sat1Spendengala”. One amount in particular caused excitement for a short time, as Sat.1 announced during the gala that a donor had donated 3 million euros to Sarah Harrison over the phone.
Fake dispensers cause panic
Unfortunately, the happiness did not last long, as the broadcaster clarified a little later. On checking it was found that it is fake.
The outrage on the net was certainly great. Several users commented on the post or sent angry tweets in the direction of the fake dispenser.
The company donated 3 million euros
One can find countless reactions like this in the face of the 3 million fake donations under the hashtag for the gala. Was any other donor actually motivated to donate this amount? Finally, shortly afterwards the station announces the good news that there is indeed a company 3 million euros were donated.
The Wurth Group, which is responsible for the large donation, announced in an official announcement a few days ago that it would support the victims of the flood disaster with a total of 5 million euros, including donations. It is still unclear whether the 3 million euros that have now been donated will be withdrawn or re-added from the previously announced amount.
by the way: Unlike ARD, Sat.1 relied on a free donation hotline. Those who wanted to donate to the ARD charity event on Friday evening had to pay at least 6 cents per call from German landline networks, up to 42 cents per minute from mobile networks. This caused a lack of understanding among many viewers.
