Stable and fast connection to high-resolution content
The two 2021 Samsung Neo QLED 8K models will be the world’s first TVs to receive Wi-Fi 6E certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA). The renowned testing and certification organization thus confirms that the TV has very stable and reliable wireless connectivity.
Samsung looks forward to the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E certification for TVs from the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA). Neo QLED 8K TV models meet a new standard in connection technology with the QN900A and QN800A Wi-Fi 6E.2. Compared to the Wi-Fi 5 standard, it provides not only faster connectivity to Samsung Neo QLED 8K owners, but also very stable and reliable data transmission – even if multiple devices are connected to one router.
The new certified Wi-Fi 6E technology uses the 6GHz frequency in combination with the existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. This means that the same Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs can support larger bandwidth loads, process faster multi-gigabit data, enable shorter latency times, and provide reliable and more secure connectivity.
As TV sets and mobile devices often evolve into true connectivity hubs for different consumer habits, the amount of data that is loaded quickly and reliably is increasing. Thanks to Wi-Fi 6E, the same Samsung Neo QLED 8K devices can celebrate while streaming high-resolution 4K and 8K video and games, as well as other data-intensive content.
“As a global technology provider, we are proud to have achieved the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E certification for many of our TVs,” said Yonghoon Choi, executive vice president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics. “With the increasing number of content and functions, the certification gives owners of a related Samsung Neo QLED 8K easy access to their preferred content.”
