The subject of artistry in the Berlin State Ballet and Artistic School is Germany’s only artistic school and is also internationally unique as a general and vocational school from grades 5 to 13. To more closely connect the network, the Berlin State Ballet and Artistic School has now signed a collaboration agreement with one of the most prestigious artistic schools in the world: the cole Nationale de Cirque, located in Montreal, Canada. For its part, the Canadian school works closely with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil, performing around the world with a mix of artistry, dramatic art and live music.
“Whoever attends the Berlin Artistic School has great talent and great ambitions. The new collaboration agreement opens up many additional opportunities for students and will do good to the development of the school as a whole.” Astrid-Sabine Busse, Senator for Education, Youth and Family.
As part of an exchange, five students participate in a variety of artistic and artistic forms of teaching and projects for ten days. Long-term cooperation is planned at various levels such as training, teacher training and school development. There should also be an exchange of experience on the results of training research. The quality of academic support also plays a major role at the Berlin State Ballet and Artistic School.
“Just as the Montreal school will benefit from the Germany-wide diversity and our network in the circus scene, we can unite our students through the longstanding collaboration between the cole Nationale de Cirque and the Cirque de Soleil, artist collectives Seven Fingers and Cirque Eloise enables better access to these companies,” said headmistress Martina Rather.
The Berlin School was founded in 1956 as the Berlin State School of Artists.
