Despite the ban on contacts, the Caritas Association’s Catholic Pregnancy Counseling Service in Lahore was able to help 436 people to seek advice last year. It has been announced by the association.
Bismarckstrasse offers counseling services at 82 and provides support for pregnant women, single mothers and fathers, couples and during pregnancy and after birth. The homepage can still be used to contact consultants in a data-secure manner, documents can be sent and questions can be saved, leaving many visits to the counseling center. “This platform makes our work a lot easier for us. Together with telephone advice, it’s a relief, especially for families with children, as children – sometimes supervised – in homeschooling. And parents are not required to provide additional care, “says the press report. The greater number of counseling cases shows how important Catholic pregnancy counseling work is and how many people can be associated with their personal concerns.
The counseling center is a recognized pregnancy counseling center and is supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration. The Cadets’ Association states that the fund comes from the Baden-Rertemberg state budget.
The concerns are different. They ranged from parental allowances and parental leave to family problems or financial emergencies. Issues such as miscarriage or stillbirth as well as sudden infant death are dealt with psychosocial counseling. So that the lack of language skills does not become an obstacle, the list of language of the counselors includes Arabic, Turkish, Russian, English and French. Personal advice is also possible on site, keeping in mind proper hygiene measures and distance rules. Other projects of Catholic pregnancy counseling are:
