“Nurse” is set to return to Universal TV. The second season of the Canadian hospital drama begins on November 22 on the pay-TV network. Ten new episodes can be seen in double episodes from Monday to Friday at 9:00 pm for a week. In this, five young professionals once again experience the ups and downs of everyday life at St. Mary’s Hospital in downtown Toronto.
Each of the five newcomers has their own unique way of handling patient care, and Grace, Ashley, Keon, Nazanin, and Wolf still had to learn how to work together as a team. At the start of the second season, the hospital is like a battlefield, as St. Mary’s Hospital is literally full of patients. The situation is difficult for our protagonist as well, as he has to deal with Kate Faulkner (Rachael Ancherill; Cmdr. Nhan in “Star Trek: Discovery”), a new head nurse who keeps him on his toes.
The main cast includes: Tierra Scowby as Grace Knight, who is looking for a fresh start in a nursing job; Natasha Kallis as adrenaline junkie Ashley Collins; Jordan Johnson-Hinds as Keon Colby, a former college football player; Sandy Sidhu as Nazneen Khan, who comes from a wealthy Indian family; and Donald McLean Jr. as the meek Wolf Burke, whose secret could jeopardize his job. Then Ryan-James Hattaka as Dr. Evan Wallace, the charismatic head of the emergency department and the sharp-witted gynecologist Dr. Vanessa Banks.
The producer is “Rookie Blue” producer Tassie Cameron. In Canada, the series is at home with broadcaster Global, where the second season ran last summer. At the moment it is not clear whether there will be a third season or not.
