Tension and stage fright increased!
Six candidates want to win the eleventh season finale of “The Voice of Germany” on Sunday evening.
Katarina Mihaljevi (21, Team Sarah Connor), Gugu Zulu (29, Team Nico Santos), Linda Elsener (20, Team Elif), Sebastian Kranz (29, Team Johannes Ording) and duet Florian and Charlene appear on the live show Galant (36 and 32, Team Mark Forster) against each other.
They will not only sing with a major music star by their side, but will also perform their own solo performances, in which their coaches live in front of a large audience.
Since the semi-finals, the candidates have been in a kind of training mode, focusing only on their big day – performances that could open the door to a great musical career for them. But how specifically do you prepare?
Final Sebastian about the build: “You spend all the time in your hotel room, in the rehearsal room, or in the studio. Compared to the weeks before, we have relatively little time for completely new songs.” :”You learn the lyrics and melodies and try to get a feeling for them.”
In Thuringia the mad rocker of Opurge has a close relationship with his coach Johannes Ording (39): “Of course I am in direct contact with Johannes and ask him what else I should do or try,” he reveals. “After rehearsals, we send each other text messages or phone calls.”
See you when Sebastian is in the studio. Sebastian Kranz: “He’s also there during vocal coaching, debriefing and band rehearsals. And since we also do a song together, that strengthens the bond even more, not only as a musical but also personally.”
Others are also in constant touch with their coaches.
Katarina Mihaljevic is supported by Sarah Connor (41). “I am also in constant touch with her. Sara calms me down a lot and gives a lot of advice and tips. She not only coaches, but is like a friend or older sister,” enthuses the student.
In addition to supporting Nico Santos (28), musical actress Gugu Zulu has her own tricks: “I just need a little break and a little rest in between and drink lots of water, or I’ll go crazy.”
Swiss Linda, who had already gone and got a second chance through the comeback phase, relies on the advice of her coach Elif (29). With her doubles partner in the final, she has already pulled off a lot. She is allowed to stand on stage with James Blunt (47). Linda: “I think it would be awesome.”
Coach Mark Forster (38) gave the pair Florian and Charlene something completely different, but very special.
“Throughout the season I got to know my wife in a completely different way, especially through stage performances,” says Florian. “With ‘Simply the Best,’ Mark came up to me on stage during rehearsals and said: ‘I just want you to see your wife for three minutes, nothing more.’ Then I just looked at him for three minutes and then I was hypnotized.”
