There was a lot of love in the air when they performed.
On Sunday evening, the coaches of “The Voice of Germany” heard a very special act: Charlene (32) and Florian Gallant (35) have been married for 12 years and are now looking to debut as musicians together. Huh. The love story of the couple is already a hit.
The two knew each other in unusual ways, as revealed by backstage presenter Thor Schöllermann (37). Flo was in Germany, while Charlene was living in South Africa at the time. He described the moment that changed everything: “One time I was sitting in front of the television and saw her on the South African Church Channel. All I knew at that moment was my wife.”
The lovebirds emailed each other for two months. After that the enticing tattoo fan made nails. “I went to him, and three days later we were married.” The couple now have two sons and live in the Palatinate. Musically too, Flo and Charlene are on the same wavelength.
Her “The Voice” song: “Mercy” by Shawn Mendes (23). A performance in perfect harmony – even the coaches thought. Two of them wanted to bring talent to their team: Mark Forster (38) and Nico Santos (28).
When Flo and Charlene recount their love story on stage, everyone is stunned.
Sarah Connor (41) enthusiastically summed up the events: “Well, she was standing in the church in South Africa and singing. And you saw that on church TV in Germany. So if that’s not destiny, I don’t know either.”
Mark Forster could hardly believe that the candidates were married only three days after the first meeting. He immediately fell in love with the shock. “You’re such a good couple!” In the end, Charlene is allowed to decide which team the two go to. The choice of two-fold mother fell on Mark.
Maybe the likable couple will now become a successful singing couple too…
