  1. Peel the chickpeas and chop them finely. Heat butter in a pan and fry the minced meat till it becomes crisp. Add chopped onions and fry. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Mix wheat flour and paprika powder. Let thicken for a while, then deglaze with broth and simmer for 10 minutes until creamy. Then taste again and let it cool.

  3. Preheat oven to 210 degrees above and below. Cut out circles about twelve centimeters in diameter from the puff pastry until the dough runs out. Beat the egg with three tablespoons of water. Fill each ball of dough with two tablespoons of minced meat, then brush the dough around with an egg.

  4. Fold the dough over the filling and press the two sides of the dough together. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the pie on it. Bake the tortiere pie in the oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
