Two become one: Microsoft is merging OneNote into one app

Microsoft has started making both versions of Notebook. one note Merging into one application. Users can currently get the software in the UWP version of the Microsoft Store and as part of Office and Microsoft 365.

This development is to be continued and to be completed in the next 12 months. Microsoft plans to release a “new” OneNote app in the second half of 2022. Users who are currently using the integrated version of Windows 10 should receive an invitation to switch.

Existing notebooks can later be transferred to the new OneNote without any problems.

For some time exclusively for Windows

For users of OneNote for macOS, iOS, and Android, nothing should change in the future. Note The new version of the software should initially be available only for Windows 11 and Windows 10.
