brutal attack on Ukrainian Shopping Mall!
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 44, announced Monday afternoon that a Russian missile struck a shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk in north-eastern Ukraine.
At least two people have been killed, according to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the deputy head of the presidential office. Another 20 were injured.
Zelenskij wrote on his Telegram channel: “The number of victims is unimaginably high.” According to his message, more than a thousand people were in the building at the time of the impact.
Videos on social media showed the building completely engulfed in flames and people walking out of the mall.
According to civil defence, 115 firefighters are deployed along with 20 fire tenders. Simultaneously, fire brigade was demanded from the railways. Images from the scene showed that the fire was under control.
“It is useless to expect decency and humanity from Russia,” the Ukrainian president said. Kremenchuk, an industrial city of 217,000 before Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, is the site of the country’s largest oil refinery.
The attack came hours after the Ukrainian President attended the G-7 summit.
