USA: Former President Trump meets and debates with rapper Kanye West - Politics

Former US President Donald Trump had dinner with rapper Kanye West, known for his anti-Semitic speeches and a right-wing extremist. Now he justifies himself – and the two argue about how the evening went. Far-right nationalist Nick Fuentes is said to have attended the dinner at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

He didn’t know Fuentes, Trump wrote on the Truth social platform he co-founded. West, who now calls himself that, was reported to have brought Fuentes, 24, to a meeting last Tuesday. Both have a history of spreading anti-Semitic hate speech.

West posted a video after dinner Twitter, in which he claimed that Trump was “influenced” by Fuentes. Fuentes spreads anti-Semitic conspiracy stories and regularly makes racist statements. Anti-racism organization Anti-Defamation League calls him a “white supremacist” https://news.google.com/__i/rss/rd/articles/. “White supremacy” describes the ideology of white supremacy. The online event organizer also opposes women’s rights and discriminates against the LGBTQI community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer and Intersex).

West is said to have offered Trump to be vice president under him

Trump didn’t deny Fuentes’ involvement in the meal — but didn’t explicitly confirm it either. West invited her to dinner, he wrote on TruthSocial. “Shortly after, he showed up unexpectedly with three of his friends, whom I didn’t know about.” Trump wrote, other people were also present at the time of the meal. Republicans themselves are known for spreading conspiracy theories. He also repeatedly expresses himself as hostile towards trans and agitated minorities.

The news portal “Axios”, citing an unnamed source, wrote that Trump seemed “very impressed” at the Fuentes dinner. The two also talked about the presidential election, among other things. “To be honest, I don’t think the president knew who[Funtes]was,” Axios quoted the source as saying.

CNN also reported, citing a source familiar with the dinner, that Fuentes was West’s guest and was not invited by Trump. Referring to West, Trump wrote: “Anyway, we got along well, he didn’t express any anti-Semitism.” Trump said, ‘Why would I not agree to meet him?’

The theme of the meal was therefore West’s plan with a view of the White House. He has already applied for the office of US President in 2020 – but missed a place on the ballot in most states due to missing the registration deadline. He advised him not to run for the presidency under any circumstances, Trump continued.

West, on the other hand, said in a video posted on Twitter that he suggested to Trump that the former president could run as his running mate in the 2024 election. West said that Trump yelled at him across the table and explained that he thought West was going to lose. On the other hand, the former president described the dinner as “unequal”.

Trump, 76, recently announced that he wants to run again as the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. Two years ago, West indicated he wanted to run again in the 2024 vote. Recently, he posted videos on Twitter with the words “Yeh 24”. The 45-year-old was once one of the few stars who publicly spoke out for Trump. Due to anti-Semitic statements, the sporting goods company Adidas ended their association with him.
