Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?: FC Bayern Chief Legal Officer Gerlinger Saves Jauch Candidate! - Bundesliga

It almost caught my eye…

FC Bayern’s chief legal officer saves one of his employees from being embarrassed by show host Günther Jauch (65)!

Annabelle Glatt (29) has recently been working for the German record champion in the strategy team of CEO Oliver Kahn (52). On Monday evening she appeared on the popular quiz show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” I sat on the chair. And almost failed with a football question …

At 16,000 euros, Jauch wanted to know: Which federal state is currently represented with the most clubs in the first Bundesliga for men?

Answer option:

A: Bavaria. B: Baden-Württemberg. C: Saxony. D: North Rhine-Westphalia

Glatt (project manager and assistant to the director of corporate strategy and business development since February 2022, previously in the human resources department) was probably too excited, counted Schalke on the first-class teams, and moved Hoffenheim to NRW. Good thing he had a phone clown…

Dr Michael Gerlinger (49), chief legal officer and vice president of sports business and competitions at Bayern, saved him with the correct answer D.

Resolution: NRW is represented by six clubs. There are only three clubs in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, Saxony one.

Gerlinger at Bild: “Annabelle worked on my team. I was also the head of human resources until December. And then she asked me if I could be her phone clown. I had a lot of fun!”

Before Bayern’s lawyer (at the club since 2005) saved him, Glatt had already feared the consequences from Cannes (he took over the board position at the European Club Association ECA from Gerlinger in late 2021): “I would probably be warned. Immediately on the table …”

Gerlinger smiles at BILD: “You don’t have to fear any labor law measures…”

And Annabelle Glatt won 32,000 euros in the end!
