Air Transat will again fly direct to Switzerland between May and October 2022. The Canadian carrier is relaunching its direct connection between Basel and Montreal. There are also many flights from France.
“We are slowly rebuilding our historic route network,” says Cyril Cousin, director of Air Transat in France, Benelux, Switzerland and Germany. “We can meet the growing demand expected for 2022 with our modern and versatile fleet. We look forward to welcoming a large number of Swiss people and bringing them closer to Canada.”
These are the planned air transit flights:
- 1 direct flight per week between Basel and Montreal
- 4 direct flights per week between Lyon and Montreal
The airline will also offer a parallel schedule of domestic flights from Switzerland with connections from Montreal to Quebec, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
In association with TGV Inoui, Air Transat also maintains its year-round train and flight service, which combines daily trips from Lyon-Part-Dieu and Strasbourg-Villestation to Paris CDG with flights to Canada.
It is still known: Air Transat continues its fleet transformation with the delivery of three new Airbus A321NeoLRs, bringing the total number of these aircraft integrated into the fleet to ten. Seven more aircraft are to be added in a phased manner by 2023.
